What is an average day like for you on the job?
My day is client focused. The job includes working alongside clients to help bring them design solutions for high-end residential and commercial construction. I am with them from wants and wishes all the way up to the build. It begins with an introduction and then
I go to the location, and then there is a meeting to sit down and find out what they’re looking for.
What do you like most about your work?
What I enjoy most is finding a design that works for them and fits their needs. Basically taking what they’ve described to me and engaging with it. I love seeing them light up and say, “Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking!” That can’t be beat.
What is the least favorite part of your work?
It’s not so much something that I do, but being behind schedule, which happens from time to time is the worst. I love to be on top of things. When I’m not, that’s what I enjoy the least. No question.
Do you have a favorite project?
I’d say the Class farm renovation ranks right up at the top and then the Raiken kitchen renovation is probably next. Most times it’s the people, as much, or even more than the build. I’ve enjoyed the relationships with our Philadelphia city clients too.
How does your job inspire you?
My passion is architecture. I really like buildings. The thoughtfulness of a great design also inspires me. It’s something that Weaver is known for, actually. We step back, arm in arm with our client and say, we did that together.
What is it like to work at Weaver?
We are always working together here. Very rarely are you doing something on your own. We have fun here, I like that too. It’s a great place to be because we work so well together.
What makes Weaver different from other places you’ve worked?
Weaver puts people first- either employees or clients. Decisions are made with people first. God and family are important and that is evident here.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
I enjoy being home with my family. It might not sound too exciting, but to me, it’s very enjoyable.
Where is the best place you’ve gone on vacation?
Anywhere that has a beach and warm sun!
